The proverb goes like this, "Shiva poojeli KARADIGE bitta haage" that means, Karadige(A thing used in Shiv Pooja) is important for Shiva pooja, if you leave that behind, you can't do Shiva Pooje.
So, it means, you are leaving important thing (Bitta haage) for Shiva Pooje.
Eg: you can say "Maduvege Taali bittu hodarante"
This is not the actual meaning
Whenever I made a nuisance of myself my mother used to call me "Shiv Pooje Karadi", it is similar to the English expression "Bull in a china shop"
Ha! All meanings seem legit. So which one is it really?

Supreet is write. But this proverb is used in wrong situation. There is no link between karadi and shiv pooje. But karadige is used in shiva pooje. Proverb means that you missed the important thing.
might mean something different

Is there mistakes in akka sattare amavasye nintite? as shivana poojeyalli...... Proverb?
haha from what I know it is not "shiva poojeli karadi bitta haage" it is "shiva poojeli karadige bitta haage"
Lingayats wear Shiva lingu inside a metal holder, that metal holder is called "karadig", so it translated to "it is like forgetting metal holder with Shiva lingu for Shiva pooje"
Akka sathre amavasye nilluththaa ?Means nothing will stop, even if an important person dies.
